A Mans home is his castle.

But only if you can keep a potential intruder from gaining entry!
There are a million articles on the web about home security, so I'm not going to get into a lot of detail about the topic today.
However I do want to just put out a plug for a product I just stumbled over.

One of the most common ways that criminals gain access to your home is by simply kicking in the door. Even a steel door, strong as it may be, can often be kicked open, by the relatively simple means of the lock-plate ripping out of the relatively thin door-frame.

The Door Devil makes this almost impossible, by replacing your typical brass or steel lock-plate with 48 inches of cold-rolled steel that attaches to-not only the frame but to the studs behind the frame-the door-frame with 9 3.5" heavy screws.
At a very decent price of only 89 dollars before shipping, this seems to be an absolutely worthwhile addition for anybody that is concerned about keeping intruders out of your home.
As it's also easy to install, requiring only a drill and a screwdriver for the vast majority of doors, you really have little excuse to not get a Door Devil.
Check them out, for your own good.
