Furtive Movements Around The Waist: The Occulto Dagger

I've been on a bit of a dagger roll lately. The first one was of course the Pilum as I've shown here previously, but just a few months back, I received a custom order for another - smaller - dagger. The end result of that order was called the Occulto, Latin as usual, this time meaning "Furtive".
The name and auspiciousness of me having chosen it weeks before presenting it to my customer, became clear when the customer, an outstanding self-defense instructor, used the line "furtive movements around the waist" during a class that I attended. It just seemed perfect in a way!

Anyways, here's the Occulto.

Right under 6 inches overall length, with a full 3 inches of that being blade. It's a little over a .25 inch thick but still weighs in at under 2oz without the sheath. Atll carbon fiber, both blade and scales, it is surprisingly stable in the hand, despite the size. Shape and texturing helps with that. Titanium core with a carbidized edge as usual.

The sheath uses my shock cord attachment system and is designed to carry the knife vertically on the belt, although it can readily be adapted to horizontal carry as well. Or put on MOLLE gear, or really any number of other locations.
A pad of foamed rubber on the back of the sheath keeps it in place and prevents it from marring the finish on the 400 dollar Italian leather belts... Retention is positive with minimal rattle. This is a snap-fit, not a friction fit sheath, so release is fast and smooth.
I'd be lying if I said that this knife didn't make me want to stab something...
